I was able to add the power running boards and have been extremely pleased - they work perfectly and allow my wife to have easier access getting in and out of the car that prior was a bit of struggle for her. Would recommend them to any X3 , X5 or X7 owner .

I just got my running boards installed. I love them. So does everyone else. I went to drop my car off for maintenance at BMW. Everybody complemented me. These running boards look good AND they are much needed. My kinds all agree as they used them to get in my vehicle.
I love the new running boards and has made it much easier getting in and out of the car. The only thing I was a little upset over was it didn’t have the X5 emblem on the top like it showed in the advertisement in FB

Constant follow up on product availability, able to provide expedite my shipment and when the shipment packaging came damaged, you were contactable and able to walk me through every item in the package making sure that everything was there for my tech to install. Even after installation, your team was available to answer questions. I’ve had this installed 3 weeks ago, and have loved this side steps. What my video didn’t show is how bright the LED lights up at night. The LED strip along the side step lights up even brighter than BMW’s puddle lights. This is a great product and no where else can you find a better one. Took my car in to the dealership for my service, and they too were impressed.

The product I bought from AutoTech Trends was their wonderful running board product. It was installed recently and I realized that I should have bought this much sooner for my BMW X5. I’m getting older I need help with entering my car with ease, this product performs. It greets me in the morning with the light as it comes out from underneath my car. I recommended this to everybody.
It was difficult getting a list of installers for my area. Once that was solved, the install went well and the results of the install and the operation of the system is fantastic.

Installed on my 2022 BMW X5. Excellent and outstanding product. I used a BMW shop and recommend that. Expect to pay 7-10 hours labor. Shop received excellent help from supplier. We are more than pleased with the product, looks and works as if it was original high end factory option.

We educated on the questions to ask in selecting the correct running board for our BMW X5, as well as guided in our selection of the company o install the equipment. The company we selected was also impressed with he clear and concise written instructions, the simplicity of the installation video, and the ongoing communications between seller and installer. 2023 X5M Competition with the running board installed. My wife loves these and considers them a game changer. I really like how nicely they tuck back into the vehicle. I had them professionally installed due to time but the instructions and video were very helpful.

Great quality and WORLDS better than the fixed-place OEM steps that aren't wide enough to step on. Looks like an OEM option. Tucks away cleanly when the vehicle is locked and deploys automatically when it is unlocked. The LED light strip is a nice touch and is a smooth, complete strip (no visible LEDs) providing night time illumination.

Discreetly tucked away when not in use, Bright lighting, sturdy construction, and a wider step area compared to the factory installed running boards. Was impressed with the installer's remarks about the quality of the product and the follow up that the manufacturer provided. A great buy!

I moved from my Tesla model 3 to the BMW X5 50e. Better for road trips, technology not as easy as Tesla, Some road noise but enjoying the car for what I have planned.
I must admit that I was disappointed when I opened the packages and realized that this is a China made product. I always assumed that it was American made. That said, it appears to be a well-made product. For the price, AutoTech Trends should invest in writing new installation instructions that are not so poorly translated from Chinese. I have been working on cars for over 30 years so, with the video and instructions, I managed to decipher the poorly translated document. I do not recommend anyone to tackle this installation without prior knowledge and the proper tools to get the job done. Overall, I like the product and I recommend it to everyone. Works very well. Thank you.
Application: 2022 BMW X5 45e plug-in. Installer: Andy's Auto Accessories, Lexington KY Main issues prior to install: 1) Will it fit fine with the larger battery pack underneath? No problem!! 2) Will it interfere with jacking points for emergency tire change? Mounting brackets replaces all 4 OEM plastic jacking point boxes with steel boxes - no problem!!! The steel boxes are narrower than OEM (why?), so now too narrow to fit my scissors jack (from Modern Spares) rectangular head, but the head has a slot which fits the side of the box just fine. Andy's has installed a set of AutoTech boards before, but since each car is so different, they benefited only somewhat from the experience. Nevertheless, very reassuring, as installer thought the build quality is very good, and previous install was working out well. Installer stated that instructions & video is very sparse and had to depend on their experience, luckily they were also familiar with working on X5. So far, very happy with the hardware and installation; I have some concern with the LED lighting wire routing, might rub over 1000's of deployments (i.e. that's just a couple of years) and Andy's will work on it a bit more. I installed front mud flaps to reduce road grime blasting at the board mechanism. My only remaining concern is how many deployments the board will last (~3 times/day ~ 1,000/yr, so 10,000 deployments is 10 yrs or less) as my plan is to keep this car 15yrs, as with my other cars. I strongly doubt anything wearing out can be fixed with it installed, would have to remove it.......
The installer recommended by Auto Tech Trends had not installed any running boards to a BMW X5 and the shop has no lifter to use for the installation of the running boards. The installation was completed after 3 days. So far the retractable running boards with light is working fine but the boards are not as firm as I would like it to be. My wife likes it.
